Here is a version based on some different plans to my earlier post.
Note 1 : The line from prop boss ends where the rear of the nacelle meets the underside of the wing.
Note 2 : The data for the squares holding the engine ellipses is pasted alongside their position in the original data - ready to be pasted in and calculated as and when. 05/Jan/09 : Added /revised some details of the nose glazing to assist perspective viewing - the two lines in the middle of the glazing are virtual - not really there on the aircraft.
08/Jan/09 : Revised wing tips to better show limits - you need to draw the curve on the outside of the points forming the tip but the outermost point lies at the very tip.
9/Jan/09 : A further enhancement of the wing tips to show the form. Probably almost definitely the last amendment to this plot . Be aware that the two lines along the bottom of the fuselage are set at the full width of the fuselage so as to provide a base for creating rectangles for ellipses . The centre line lies somewhere in between these two lines - I have a plot which shows these three lines and may swap it in here to show. Or you can add points F14 to F17 at "y" = 0 using the "x" and "z" measurements already there.

Reply with quote | #2 | You may ask - why two plots of the same aircraft.? The fact is that I found two quite different sets of 3 view drawings and leave it to the user to pick which most represents the a/c . That is until somebody can come up with the definitive plan views ! The latest set has the underside of the nose horizontal whilst the first plot is based on one with a slight upturn from about under the cockpit forward. The tail fins differ in size and outline as well. __________________

See above 9/Jan/ 09 One last amendment to the wing tips of this one - I think in future I will heed Joe and restrict the number of points to a plot -- and show the original source with points marked - folks can then alter to suit. Joe never intended APM to be used to computer draw an a/c - just provide sufficient key points to be plotted and drawn in by hand. Sadly I lack the confidence to trust my ability to join up said dots accurately - so I go way over the top in the number of points plotted. __________________
